Activities

Activities Coordinator

As the Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the activities and spa schedules for all guests on ranch from the pre-arrival stage through to the end of their stay. You are available to guests at the Activities Desk in the Outfitter’s Barn to provide friendly and helpful service throughout the day and are responsible for providing clear communication with all departments to ensure seamless operation and guest satisfaction. You also manage the BCR gift shop which includes processing purchases, restocking items and monthly inventory among other tasks. Daily administrative work includes retail and activity incidental sales reconciliations, hunting and fishing license sales and nightly team emails. Strong multi-tasking skills, organization, communication and customer service skills required.

Activities Guide

As an Activities Guide, you are responsible for leading and guiding guests on their daily activities which include: hiking, mountain biking, ropes challenge course, zip lines, paintball and Polaris ranger tours. Priority will be given to individuals with experience in these disciplines, though you will be trained on all adventures regardless. You are an athletic, personable individual and possess a wide range of outdoor experience. Depending on your experience, you may also play a role guiding: archery, fly fishing, shooting, and bird hunting. Your responsibilities will also include transportation and general ranch/trail work.

Overnight Yurt Guide/Activities Guide

As the overnight yurt guide you are responsible for safely leading guests on our overnight yurt camping trips. Priority will be given to individuals with experience in wilderness camping, outdoor cooking, all aspects of the outdoors since activities associated with the yurt experience can range from axe throwing, archery, fly fishing, hiking, etc. You must be an athletic person, very personable, and have a wide range of outdoor knowledge. When there are not yurt trips you will assist the activities team in guiding other activities – see activities guide above.

Wrangler

As a BCR Wrangler, you are responsible for caring for horses, leading guests on trail rides, giving instruction, and general ranch chores. You must have experience in the western riding discipline, knowledge of western tack and all levels of horse safety measures while riding or on ground. Must be a team player, have a positive attitude, be willing to take direction and work hard. You must possess a valid driver’s license, as well as provide a short video showcasing your riding abilities.

Fly Fishing Guide

As a Fly Fishing Guide, you are responsible for guiding the beginner to advanced fly fisherman on wade trips and drift boat floats. (Majority will be wade guiding). Brush Creek Ranch offers fly fishing on Brush Creek, the Encampment River, North Platte River and numerous ponds on ranch. You have previous guiding experience, strong instructional techniques and are highly guest oriented. You must possess a valid driver’s license. If you have rowing experience, there will be opportunities to guide scenic rafting trips as well. When fishing trips are not scheduled, you will assist the Activities Department with transportation and other general duties.

Gun Club Attendant

As a Gun Club Attendant, you will be responsible for guiding and providing instruction for the beginner to advanced shooter. The BCR Gun Club offers sporting clay and skeet shooting, as well as long range rifle and pistol shooting. You are an experienced professional and strictly adhere to all safety regulations at all times.

Wingshooting Guide

As a Wingshooting Guide, you will assist the Wingshooting Manager with walking bird hunts, continental tower shoots, driven cliff shoots, and duck hunts. Previous guiding experience with hunting/shooting is required. You will be responsible for training and caring for all of our bird dogs, bird pens, catching birds, feeding, watering dogs and birds, setting fields, guiding hunts, etc. When bird hunts are not scheduled, you will help guide at the shooting range or assist the Activities Department as needed.

Archery Guide

As an Archery Guide, you should have a solid understanding of both compound bow and recurve bow archery. Your responsibilities will include training/guiding guests, maintaining bows and arrows as well as maintaining and improving the ranch’s archery courses. You will be trained in all ranch activities and will help out as needed.

Mountain Bike Mechanic/Guide

As the Mountain Bike Mechanic and Guide, you should have knowledge and experience in bike maintenance and will split your time between guiding mountain bike rides and maintaining our mountain bike fleet. You should have extensive mountain bike experience and feel comfortable guiding guests with a variety of ability levels on basic single and double track trails. You may also be asked to guide other activities throughout the season, as well as help with transportation and trail work.

Lead Ropes Course/Rock Climbing Guide

As the lead ropes course guide you would be responsible for daily operations of our ropes course, maintenance of all safety equipment and ropes course elements. Keeping track of daily inspection/maintenance logs and training staff on the ropes course. We are also trying to create a rock climbing program on the ranch and are seeking skilled and experienced rock climbers for this endeavor. Experiences offered will range from bouldering to multi-pitch advanced climbs and repelling. Preference will be given to experienced guides and those showing cross-functional qualities in other areas of the activities department.

Transportation Supervisor

As the transportation supervisor you will be in charge of scheduling, organizing, and executing all guest transportation needs across the ranch. You will work closely with both the Concierge and Activities Departments. Guest transportation needs vary from airport guest pickups and drop-offs, on ranch and off-site meals, guest arrival and departure process, luggage, etc. Preference will be given to an applicant that is very organized, demonstrates unsurpassed customer service skills, leadership skills, and the desire to serve. When transportation needs are not needed you will assist the activities team and the concierge. A clean driving background is a must.

Yoga Instructor

As a Yoga Instructor you are responsible for guiding guests through 45-60 minute yoga group sessions or private classes as requested. You must be an experienced and dedicated teacher, with a minimum of a 200 Hour Yoga Alliance certification. Priority will be given to individuals also trained in other modes of fitness such as zumba, sculpting, kettle bells, core etc. You may also play a role guiding other ranch activities where needed.

Lil’ Wranglers Program Leader

As the “Lil’ Wranglers” Program Leader, you will lead and coordinate all aspects of our Kid’s Camp for children aged 4-8. You should have experience working with children and feel comfortable designing activities that are appropriate for the age group. Must be a team player, have a positive attitude, be willing to “own” the program and work hard. You must possess a valid driver’s license. Experience in the western riding discipline is desired but not required.

Lil’ Wranglers Guide/Wrangler

As a Guide for our “Lil’ Wranglers” children’s program, you will be responsible for leading children ages 4-8 on a variety of adventures. Employee Housing Coordinator, Employee Housing Attendants

The employee housing team works to treat our staff like honored guests. We look for candidates who are skilled in customer service, employee relations, and hospitality operations. The employee housing team manages all aspects of room operations for our associates including room assignments, daily cleaning tasks and delivering a memorable summer to each and every staff member.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE

Magee Homestead Chef de Cuisine

The ultra-luxurious Magee Homestead Resort and Wellness Spa is looking for a skilled working chef with proven ability and stamina that is comfortable operating autonomously while under the direction of the Executive Chef. This applicant must have knowledge in current nutritious/healthy spa cuisine with a focus on upscale fine dining, love to create spontaneously and cater to our guests cravings. Beyond food preparation and quick problem solving skills, this applicant must also be proficient in ordering and cost control as well as have a desire to be guest facing for weekly cooking demos and general guest engagement. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of working chef experience and a degree in nutrition.

Sous Chef

As a Sous Chef at Brush Creek Ranch, you must have great range of culinary skill, desire to receive direction and feedback from the senior leadership and the ability to supervise and teach with a cool and collected demeanor. This is a great intermediate supervisory opportunity for professional culinarians looking to advance their understanding of kitchen management. The ability to juggle production and supervision is a must. 5+ years of professional kitchen experience is required. Previous sous chef experience is preferred.

Cook I

As a Cook I, you have knowledge of all stations in multiple kitchens and various outdoor venues. You are able to prepare and present all menu items and adhere to Brush Creek Ranch food quality standards. You have a strong knowledge and understanding of menus, production sheets and guests needs.

Cook II

As a Cook II, you have entry level knowledge of most stations in the kitchen. You are able to prepare menu items and adhere to Brush Creek Ranch food quality standards. You have an understanding of basic cooking techniques and knife skills.

Employee Housing Chef

As the Employee Housing Chef you are responsible for preparing lunch and dinner for all Brush Creek Ranch employees, maintaining the Employee Housing kitchen, and being in good communication with the Executive Chef. You will uphold all quality standards in accordance with Brush Creek Ranch food quality standards. You are a team player, passionate about cooking, and devoted to ensuring that the BCR team is nourished to perform to the best of their abilities.

Foundation for the Arts Residency Chef

As Chef for the Brush Creek Foundation for the Arts, you will be responsible for preparing high quality meals and providing exceptional service for a small community of artists at this elite and sought after residency. Applicants must show culinary expertise and adhere to BCFA standards of excellence.This is a year-round position and salary is based on experience.

Servers and Bartenders

As a Server or Bartender, you are responsible for providing the highest level of food/beverage presentation and friendly service to all guests. Previous serving or bartending experience is required and you should be well versed in luxury service standards. You have excellent customer service skills and work diligently to anticipate and exceed guest expectations. Brush Creek Ranch offers a variety of dining venues around the ranch, so teamwork, flexibility and strong attention to detail are desirable skills.

Pastry Chef

As the Pastry Chef, you are responsible for creating all baked goods and desserts. You have knowledge of all stations in multiple kitchens and various outdoor venues. You are able to prepare and present all menu items and adhere to Brush Creek Ranch food quality standards. You have a strong knowledge and understanding of menus, production sheets and guests needs. Previous kitchen pastry experience is required and high altitude baking experience is preferred.

Chief Steward

Are you passionate about organization and cleanliness? Can you motivate and lead a small crew? Then this is the job for you! This position entails supervising the utility/dishwasher staff to meet the cleanliness standards of our kitchen as well as maintaining the organization of all kitchen and front of the house equipment on a daily basis. This is a great opportunity to obtain to gain entry level supervisory experience.

Dishwasher/Utilities Worker

As a Dishwasher/Utilities Worker, your responsibilities include but are not limited to: maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for china, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc. using machine and manual cleaning methods, gathering and taking out trash and recycling, and ensuring the ranch’s multiple kitchen areas are maintained as clean, safe and sanitary facilities. You will also assist the Venue Stager with setting up dining and event venues when needed.

Venue Stager

As the Venue Stager, you are responsible for leading the setup and take down of various indoor and outdoor meal and event venues around the ranch. You enjoy physical work in the outdoors and can carry up to 50 pounds. You must possess a valid driver’s license. You may also play a role assisting other departments as needed.

FRONT OFFICE

Concierge

As a Concierge, your responsibilities include but are not limited to: making reservations, answering guests inquires in person, email, and over the phone, giving ranch tours, taking photos of guests, running deposits, and mailing out brochures. You are the “go-to” person for guests during their stay to answer questions and assist with any needs.

HOUSEKEEPING

Cabin Keeping Attendants

As a Cabin Keeping Attendant, you are responsible for the daily operation of housekeeping in all guest quarters as well as public spaces. Duties include but are not limited to: transporting linen to and from laundry (must be able to carry 50 lbs), turndown service in guest quarters every evening, pickup and deposit of trash and recycling items in proper disposal bins, stocking supplies and supply closets, and being in good communication with the Maintenance Department regarding any non-working or damaged items in guest quarters.

Public Space Attendant/Houseman

The Public Space and Houseman Attendants work to support the housekeeping staff. These associates are responsible for ensuring housekeepers have the supplies they need to carry out their daily duties. This position requires heavy lifting, furniture moving, carrying linen bags and restocking supplies. You will be required to take care of trash and clean up after guests. You must also be able to work independently from other associates as well as drive to different cabins and storage areas on the ranch. You must have an eye for detail and will be kept accountable for keeping storage closets and guest public spaces clean. You will also make sure that laundry is maintained with BCR standards of cleanliness. This includes de-staining, folding, organizing, and keeping the laundry room clean.

Supervisor/Inspector

This is a leadership role in the housekeeping department that works closely with the Director of Services and Head Supervisor. Responsibilities include supervising and holding the team accountable for their daily duties as well as keeping associates motivated throughout the season. You will inspect cabins and must maintain the highest level of BCR cleanliness standards. Great communication skills are required as well as being able to coach different team members. A high attention to detail and consistency is a must as we have a variety of unique units. This position is very active and you will be on your feet for up to ten hours a day. Must be able to multitask and finish numerous projects such as inventory, organizing, and daily worksheets.

MARKETING

Photographer

As the BCR Photographer, you will be responsible for taking candid and requested photos of guests during their stay at the ranch, as well as capturing images for ongoing marketing initiatives. You will be required to edit, organize, and catalogue photos accordingly, in preparation for guests and the BCR Marketing team.

RANCH OPERATIONS

Mechanic II

As a Mechanic II at Brush Creek Ranch, you will be responsible for assisting the lead Mechanic with vehicle maintenance and repairs. You have general shop and repair knowledge; experience with equipment, machinery and tractors; knowledge and skill using vehicle repair software such as AllDta; ability to remove, repair and reinstall a tire; experience with loading, rigging and hauling large trailer loads; experience with ATV's, UTV's and hydraulics. Cleanliness and organization are imperative.

Landscaping Manager

As the Landscaping Manager, you manage the landscaping team and oversee all levels of grounds maintenance and development. You are responsible for managing the procurement and scheduled use of resources, including labor, equipment and materials to ensure maximum use and completion of work within budget, safety guidelines and quality standards.

Groundskeeper/Landscaper

As a Groundskeeper/Landscaper, you will be required to perform a variety of tasks including trimming, cutting grass, raking, hedging and weeding, removing litter from properties, adding mulch, fertilizing, removing dead plants and planting new ones. Knowledge of irrigation systems and landscape construction is desired but not required. You enjoy physical work in the outdoors and can carry up to 50 pounds.

Maintenance Technician

As a Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for the upkeep of ranch assets. You must have experience with plumbing, electrical and carpentry repairs.

Ranch Hand

As a Ranch Hand, you will be responsible for general labor, groundskeeping and landscaping, assisting with maintenance, among other tasks as needed. Experience in flood irrigation, fencing and working cattle from horseback are required. Must be able to operate a tractor and skid steer and have experience with various other tools, mowers, and equipment. You enjoy physical work in the outdoors and can carry up to 50 pounds. Must possess a valid driver’s license.

SPA

Massage Therapist

As a Massage Therapist, you are experienced in all massage modalities. This includes Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, prenatal, reflexology and body treatment work such as body scrubs and wraps. You must be an experienced professional promoting health and wellness. Massage experience of at least two years at high end luxury resort or spa is required.

Spa Coordinator/Cosmetologist

This position doubles as a full-time spa coordinator and cosmetologist. The position requires a balance between guest services and assisting in nail, hair, and skin services. Cosmetologists must be skilled in bridal styles. As a spa receptionist this position requires the highest level of customer service in spa by greeting, touring, and checking guests in and out for their spa treatments and coordinating guest needs with our ranch office and activities center. This position requires excellent customer service skills and experience in salon/spa environment.

“On Demand” Massage Therapist

As an On Demand Massage Therapist, you are experienced in all areas of massage technique. This includes Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, prenatal, reflexology and body treatment work. Cosmetologists must be able to perform hair and nail services. This is an “on-demand” position that requires flexibility scheduling throughout the season. You must be available for three to four days at a time. Brush Creek Ranch will provide lodging on location as well as travel reimbursement.

Wellness Attendant at the Magee Homestead

The Wellness Attendant at The Magee Homestead is responsible for the professional greeting/checking-in of all spa guests at proper appointment times. Attends and maintains workings of 2-treatment room spa. Cleans and tidy’s up treatment rooms, spa entry, and locker rooms. Is responsible for booking, and scheduling spa appointments. Performs all spa services with luxury tier expectations. Attends to guests needs, lockers and public spaces. Is able to teach wellness oriented classes (Pilates, personal training, yoga, etc) The perfect candidate should have some or all of these qualifications : Licensed massage therapist (5+ years’ experience), Licensed Esthetician (3+ years), Pilates Instructor (1+ years) or/and Yoga Teacher (2+ years). The Wellness Attendant will be an expert at encouraging rejuvenation, wellness, and relaxation. It is pertinent that the candidate has great skills and interest in customer service, team work, and hospitality.
