Location:Magee Homestead
Event Summary

This special weekend event features a personalized wine experience with winemaker of the year Jesse Katz, founder of Aperture Cellars and Devil Proof Vineyards in Sonoma County. Jesse is known for his Bordeaux-style, terroir-driven wines. Jesse’s Devil Proof Malbec from California is the highest rated Malbec ever in California from both Robert Parker, Jr. and Wine Spectator, and was named “Cult Winery” of the year. Guests will be guided through custom wine blending seminars, expand their wine knowledge through a journey that mirrors Jesse’s career of new and old world wines, and enjoy thoughtfully crafted wine pairing dinners. Guests will also join Jesse in helping craft a Magee Homestead custom blend. Joining Jesse Katz will be professional photographer Andy Katz, who will lead a behind the scenes sunset photography seminar, culminating in a winning photograph to be utilized as the wine label on Magee Homestead’s one-of-a-kind wine. Join us from July 25-27, 2019.

Andy Katz’s love of photography takes him around the globe. From the deserts of Namibia to the disappearing Jewish World of Eastern Europe to the rolling hills of the California wine country, his subjects range as broadly as his travels and adventures.

Each journey for Andy is a new exploration of images.
