Taking a farm-to-table approach whenever possible, we utilize fresh and hearty regional fare and the Ranch’s own Wagyu cattle, which serve as the cornerstone of the beef program. Meals enjoyed among friends in the Covey Dining Room are skillfully prepared by your own personal Chef de Cuisine, making for an unforgettable and unique experience.

John has spent time living and fishing for trout all across the country, originally growing in Colorado, he presently calls Southern Wyoming and the waters of the Platte River Valley home. John joined the Outfitting team as a fishing guide in 2014 and has spent every summer since guiding and learning our waters.
Southern Wyoming is home to one of the most prolific hunting and fishing grounds in the world. We’re positioned at the headwaters of the North Platte River, which is fed entirely by snowmelt from our neighboring Snowy Mountain Range and Sierra Madre Range.
All floats are conducted on the North Platte and Encampment Rivers by way of either hard-sided fiberglass drift boats or inflatable rafts with fishing frames. Over 10 different float options ranging from two miles to 20 miles depending on water levels and conditions. Float season typically runs mid-may through July.Learn More
