Château Angelus Wine Journey

Journey through the Saint-Émilion Bordeaux wine region of France with our guests from Château Angelus. Considered one of the top estates in Bordeaux, the Angélus style results from the combination of bold decisions on vine varieties and an outstanding terroir. It is this unique character born of the south-facing Saint-Émilion slopes with its large proportion of Cabernet Franc that we are so pleased to meet over and over again as the vintages pass by. It is also a composition re-crafted every year in a continuous quest for excellence.

Thursday, November 23 – Wine Welcome Reception
3:30PM at Lodge & Spa
Toast to a day of holiday celebrations with a glass of Château Angelus. Learn about the eight generations of the family-owned and operated wine estate, currently helmed by Stéphanie de Boüard-Rivoal, the third woman to run Angelus in over 250 years.
Open and inclusive for all lodging guests.

Friday, November 24 – Llama Snowshoe & Wine Tasting

During a new and unique outdoor adventure at the Ranch, experience bold wine from a terroir just as unique. Connect with pristine, untouched nature as you’re guided on a hike and/or snowshoe to a stunning mountain destination. Taste the unique Château Angelus characteristics: lush, dense, and creamy because of the early onset of growth thanks to its south-facing slope of Saint Emilion; but also elegant, classy, and pure with lots of freshness thanks to the large proportion of Cabernet Franc (46% of the vines).

Saturday, November 25 – 5-Course Wine Pairing Dinner
6:00PM at The Farm
Join us for a special wine-pairing dinner with a focus on the Château Angelus signature Cabernet Franc. The wines are slow to open up, but they are amongst the most intriguing and the most refined. The tannins are dense, but silky and bring the necessary fresh notes to achieve overall balance. Cabernet Franc enhances the aging of the greatest wines.
