Meet Pepe Raventos
Winemaker and Managing Director, Pepe has always been deeply passionate about the world of wine and viticulture. As a child, he spent his summers harvesting grapes in Sant Sadurnf d’Anoia and later worked in the vineyards of Saint-Emilion, where he learned to make red wines.
After training as an oenologist, he gained experience crafting terroir-driven wines alongside Didier Dagueneau in Pouilly-Fume, Olivier Lamy in Saint-Aubin, Harald Hexamer in the Nahe region, and Philippe Blanco in Alsace.
In 2001, he joined Ravent6s i Blanc and, over the past 20 years, has helped grow the winery into an international wine brand and a global reference for its ancestral methods and sustainable viticulture practices-bringing together animals, plants, and people within a unique ecosystem. Pepe has also proven himself to be dynamic and forward-thinking. In 2012, he made the pioneering decision to leave the DO Cava and embark on a new path: Conca del Riu Anoia. Under the name of t his small geographical area, he is convinced that “we can convey our winemaking traditions, the strength of our land, our unique grape varieties, and the character of our soils.”
After living in New York for five years, he returned to the family estate in 2016 to craft sparkling wines of remarkable minerality. His goal remains unchanged: to pursue excellence in everything he does-not through perfection, but through authenticity-selecting the finest grapes from each plot.
Viticulture and the vineyard are his true passion: “When you realize that nature is the protagonist, you can make wines that are closer to art,” he explains.
